Our Model
Tuckahoe Learning Grove is a hybrid kindergarten & first grade co-op designed to meet families where they are. While originally envisioned as a traditional kindergarten program, TLG naturally grew into a collaborative, part-time model in response to the needs and values of our families — and we truly love it this way.
Students attend three days per week in a small, mixed-age learning community, where hands-on academics, outdoor exploration, and creative play are guided by an experienced educator. Families play an active role in supporting the community, creating a warm, connected environment that feels both intentional and flexible.
This hybrid approach allows children to build strong academic foundations while still honoring childhood — offering structure, consistency, and space to grow.
